Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM)

Show Summary

Aired: 1993 - 1995
Show Type: Animated
Country of Origin: US

Short lived Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon that debuted on Prime Time ABC in 1993. the story: Sonic and a group of Animals known as the Freedom Fighters try to take down the evil Dr. Robotnik. Very original and entertaining, it even inspiered the format of the Sonic comics from Archie, which are still being published today. The series came to DVD on March 2007.

I wanted to mention that the lyrics for the shows intro are wrong on the web site. The real lyrics are:

Blue streak, speeds by
Sonic the Hegdehog.
Too fast, for the naked eye,
Sonic the Hegdehog.
Sonic, he can really move.
Sonic, he's got an attitude.
Sonic, he's the fastest thing aliiiieiiiive.

Look out, when he storms through,
Sonic the Hedgehog.
Don't doubt, what he can do,
Sonic the Hedgehog.
Sonic, he can really move.
Sonic, he's got an attitude.
Sonic, he's the fastest thing alive.
He's the fastest thing alive.
He's the fastest thing aliiiiiiiiiive!

Did I watch this show? I don't know. I know I played the game a few times though, & had a couple toys from fast food places of him.

One of my earliest memories is seeing this on t.v. when I was a toddler. I didn't even know who Sonic was back then.

I remeber playing Sonic on the Genesis, and I still do to this day. But watching SatAm was just pure awesome! Man I miss that show.

Sonic SatAM was awesome. I don't care if it had little to do with the games, it was still amazing. I need to get the DVD box set someday.
