Short lived Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon that debuted on Prime Time ABC in 1993. the story: Sonic and a group of Animals known as the Freedom Fighters try to take down the evil Dr. Robotnik. Very original and entertaining, it even inspiered the format of the Sonic comics from Archie, which are still being published today. The series came to DVD on March 2007.

I wanted to mention that the lyrics for the shows intro are wrong on the web site. The real lyrics are:

This was the best of the Dic Sonic series. I also like Adventures Of Sonic the Hedgehog. I saw a few episodes of Sonic Underground and thought they were terrible.

This show had it all! Sonic, speed, heroes, villains, rebels, awesome music, and an awesome plot setting! There was nothing missing! I loved this show more than anything else!

Now this is a cartoon i loved as a kid. My uncle introduced the game to me and also watched this cartoon with me when i was younger....I just bought season 1 & 2 on dvd XD

The best Sonic cartoon! This is #1 for me, the Japanese version of Sonic X is #2. After reading some of the above comments, I just want to say: PEOPLE, STOP ACTING LIKE RUDE ASS DOUCHEBAGS TO PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE THEY DISAGREE WITH YOU ON SONIC! When people discuss Sonic, it's like they're discussing politics or something! He's a fictional character, people. Relax and just respect their opinion.
