I used to LOVE this show and though I like the styling of the new Mustang -- I cannot believe that A) they are attempting to make a modern spin on this show B) that they are not using a Trans Am (albeit they are not currently in production, but the reintro of the GTO name was close enough! LOL)

Simply put, some shows are better remembered than remade or reborn. Most of the time, when a show of this type is revamped for the sake of nostalgia, it usually winds up not being anywhere near as good as the original..... Maybe I'm just getting old.... :)

Memories... Present time if I swing my head 90 degrees to the right and sees all four seasons on DVD :D

IMO the original series was much better than all the movies (not even counting in the 2010 thing). Truth is, old TV shows isn't getting nearly as much credit or interest as they often seem too act to "cheesy" or even appear "unrealistic" to the younger generations. Sure I may be one exception, but sadly the majority doesn't want this kind of entertainment.

While Knight Rider certainly may not be the "best show ever", it still means a lot to us who actually watched it while it ran. I think I am one of the few fanpeeps to actually have built K.I.T.T. red scanner from scratch and because of the lack of cheap Pontiacs in Norway, I put it in the front of my computer case! It hasn't happened one time to this date that someone actually have recognised what it is or what the point of it is :P

Anyway, Knight Rider to me may not be what it used to be. The Mustang in the new film/series clearly lacks the personality of the original K.I.T.T. (perhaps of security reasons, I don't know?), but still they managed to make a perfectly watchable show because of new gadgets, actors that weren't as cheesy as The Hoff may have been etc. Taking that into account it irritates me that the few of my friends that actually knows Knight Rider likes the new show better.

Time goes on without doubt and wit hit things will change merciless, but we will always remember certain stuff and from there we will take it with us all the way! (Thank God for Google :P) Maybe some day when I get out of school and get to work and earn some real money, I can finally build my own 3rd gen K.I.T.T. (I like the pointy framework of K.I.T.T.'s dash and the big TV screen better than two small ones for example.)

The budget to make this show of course wasn't the biggest, and therefore some parts had to be done the "cheap" way. I see much more of it now as I have watched the show multiple times, but while it aired and you in most cases only had one opportunity to watch it - the concept looked absolutely beautiful. The music of the 80's really got my mood set even though I'm only 20 years old and missed the first airings.

Now my question: Why the hell did they have to ruin the show with the Super Pursuit Mode (SPM)?? Take it easy, I'm just kidding. That feature yet critical to the story was only half-accepted by most of my friends, though I thought it was the coolest addition of the whole damn show! Maybe I have wrong friends? :P

Let's see, what else do we have that resembles Knight Rider...? The games? :)

Knight Rider (The Game) 1 and 2 is definitely not the best games, but to a real fan it is a good feeling to finally get to drive the coolest car in the world, being able to do silly tricks (jumping on rooftops etc) and the most important part (which I thought lacked terribly), the Super Pursuit Mode.

Now, any reactions or similar opinions? Maybe I'm just being too nice and not enough critical...? Anyway, Knight Rider still is one helluva show! (I think I'm going to watch some episodes right now...!)

I agree with a post above mine. Today's kids don't acceptable anything unless it's flashy.

It sucks that they would rather watch garbage like Family Guy or American Dad over good shows like this.
