Mr. Slim Goodbody

Show Summary

Aired: 1985 - 1989
Show Type: Live Action
Country of Origin: US

It was a show that promote good eating and health on PBS. I remember looking at this in the classroom after lunch. I cant member the characters name but it was a show you watch when you was suspended from home after storylords and letter people go off.

Mr. Slim Goodbody is still alive and well. Currently (as of January 2007) his programs air on more than 120 PBS stations. Goodbody was portrayed by John Burstein and he has received many awards for this role over the years. A search on YouTube will find an episode of Body Control as submitted by Mr. Slim Goodbody himself. Visit www.slimgoodbody.com for more info!
As a child, I remember PBS running short clips of his show in-between other programs. To this day I can't help but start humming every time I even HEAR the word pituitary.....because it really is very extraordinary. :-)

Mr. Slim Goodbody wasn't anatomically correct.

Fond memory from childhood....strangely similar to Richard Simmons and that guy from Air Supply.

Bottom line: white men and afros = sterotypic male homosexulality...

Doesn't get sweeter!

OMG...I remember this show very well. Completely creeped me out! I remember one show when Mr. "Creep"body was showing how we digest food. He had a man on a table who had a hole in his gut and he had a tiny piece of meat on a string that he lowered into the man through the hole. He later took it out to show us how the body had digested the meat. COMPLETELY FREAKY!
