Danger Mouse

Show Summary

Aired: 1981 - 1992
Show Type: Animated
Country of Origin: UK

Danger Mouse is a British detective who lives under a post box at 221B Baker Street. Address sound familiar...? That's where Sherlock Holmes lived! At any given moment, the comscreen could flicker to life and Colenol K would apprise our hero of some evil plot to take over the world or otherwise dastardly scheme. Along with Penfold, his hilarious hamster sidekick, DM would spring into action to thwart the efforts of Baron Greenback and his minions! While the slapstick comedy of the show was widely popular with children for years, adults were able to enjoy Danger Mouse in its entirety as some of the jokes were well over the heads of its younger viewers.

Dangermouse also deserves credit for another famous cartoon by the name of Count Duckula, spawned by the creators and introduced to the world in The Four Tasks of Danger Mouse.

It kicks ass. The summer of 1984 is when this show first came to America. I was pissed off when they took off this show in the early 1990s to make room for those damned NickToons.

Great show, ja ja ja!

Only one or two of my friends watched this show. Of course this didn't deter me from enjoying it. One of my all-time favorites.
