Amazing Stories was a short lived sci-fi/fantasy series in the vein of The Twilight Zone. A new story - sometimes scary, sometimes funny - would be featured every week featuring many notable 80s character actors as well as a few big name stars. The series was most noted for the number of guest directors including Steven Spielberg (who was the Executive Producer), Robert Zemeckis, Joe Dante, and many others who were big 80s directors or went on to be major filmmakers.

I remember the WWII one with Kevin Costner.The one where the collegeguy made the chemical that if it poured on a picture the pic would come to life.And what did he do with it? Stated pouring it on photos of hot women lol

I liked this show alot my favorite episode starred David Rappaport and Mark Hamill called Gather ye Acorns, and another one called Family Dog that later went on to become its own show.

This show was...well..amazing. I loved every episode, it always had that Spielberg charm with the right amount of fantasy, horror, and adventure. I loved the episode 'to the head of the class' with Christopher Loyd and the episode 'What if..' with the boy who's parents didn't even notice he existed always makes me cry. They just don't make television like this anymore.

I remember "The Main Attraction" episode. I remember it disturbed me when that high school football player grabbed people and bullied them.
