The evil Destrons are trying to steal the Angalmois reserves from the a planet called Gaia and it's up to the Cybertrons to stop them.

Beast Wars II was created to fill the gap while seasons 2 & 3 of Beast Wars: Transformers was still being dubbed into Japanese.
The show takes place in the same future but with different characters and a different planet.

Yeah, I did some research on this YEARS AGO, when the original Beast Wars came out. You remember all of those Beast Wars toys/characters that they didn't show in the cartoon that were out around that time? Japan made a cartoon based on those. I bet you it was better than Beast Machines.
