This is Dic's Version of GI Joe that was Started in 1989 and Ended in 1992! It followed shortly after the movie storyline with destro and serpentor in charge of COBRA. The baroness then finds a way to change Cobra commander back to normal and he gets rid of serpentor and takes control of COBRA once more using his new team the Python Patrol. Many of the old faces from the sunbow show were in this one including duke, lady jaye, snake eyes, sgt. slaughter, and many more. Later on in the series they had issues like drugs, and pollution in some of their episodes.

the dic series could'nt hold on to the boot straps of the original. nothing but reject joes who could'nt carry on the JOE name.

cause I was a military kid living in military housing, G.I. Joe was king..hell for us kids then, joes was like currency..

^Me,too, fwbkidd. The original was better. I always wanted the DiC version to show more of Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and the rest of the Ninja Force.

At this period of time I was in high school but still was a regular cartoon watcher. I agree with CANADA420 this series lacked the feel and appeal of the original GI Joe Real American Hero series. It is like Sigma 6 does not hold water to the orignal.
