Aired on Saturdays, right? I don't think I ever saw it, but I remember it.

Yes. It did air on Saturdays. It aired right after "The Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show" and just before "The Munsters: Today" on ABC.

In my memory this show was called "Animal Crackers" and it was a game show.

I agree with ghiti. I remember Alan Thicke hosting a kid's game show on Saturday mornings that was all about animals. This must be it.

"Weekly show featuring 3 celebrity panelists, each playing for their favorite animal charity. Host Thicke asked questions about animals; some were asked to individual panelists; others were asked of the entire group. On occassion, video footage of animals from the Tokyo Broadcasting System provided the answers. Celebrities received a toy monkey for each correct answer; the one with the most monkeys won $2,500 for his/her charity."
