I was eleven when this show started and I loved it. I remember watching it on Saturday mornings just before going to the Orthodontist to get my braces checked. No, I don't have them anymore, but I was stuck in them for a grand total of six years. Anyway, I also remember having a crush on Annie because she was my age and had dark hair and glasses like me, and I thought she was really cute. I also sometimes thought how cool it would be to have my own pet baby Dino like Tasha. I had most of the toy collection too, my favorite figure of course being Scar Face. My favorite piece of all though was Shung's Crystal Sword. Unfortunately, I left it turned on one night after hitting the hay and it broke so I was forced to throw it out...Bummer. Here's to hoping for this show's release on DVD.

I also meant to mention that this show's creatures were more realistic in appearance than those in the original series including the Sleestacks. And yes, the special effects were much better too because they were done on computers as opposed to puppetry, stop motion and simple lighting effects. My mom used to enjoy the original version and I like this one. Who new?
