Joe, a Vietnam Veteran German Shepard, is accused of a crime he did not commit. For three tv seasons, Joe is on the lamb, er, RUN, because he thinks he did something wrong, or perhaps knows that he's innocent, but thinks The Man is out to get him.
His handler from the war knows Joe is a good dog and spends each weekly half-hour show, driving around in a cool Toyota Land Cruiser, looking for Joe. He always seems to get real close to catching him, but some distracting situation develops, and we must wait until next Saturday morning to find out if he can catch him once more.
I don't remember the last episode. Did Joe finally stop running? Was he exhonerated of the false charges made against him? Did he find a mate and settle down and have pups? The mystery continues....
