Taina Morales has dreams that someday she will be a star, but finds out that the road to being a star is a hard one. Taina attends Manhattan School of the Arts with her best friend, Renee Jones and her other friends Daniel McDaniel and Lamar Johnson. But of course, her arch nemesis Maritza Hogge, who also wants to be a star, goes to her school! Taina lives with her parents, brother, and grandfather in Queens, New York. In every episode we see Taina and her attempts to become a star, and music videos in Taina's head. Watch Taina sing and dance her way to stardom!

2001? This is hardly considered retro, right? I mean, retrojunk.com doesn't even have a category for it. 70's, 80's, and 90's. Where does this fall?

Just because it was a failed show that people "remember," doesn't make it retro at all.

I wouldn't necessarily consider this retro either, but it did have a pretty decent premise behind it nonetheless. This was the time in which Nick started to go downhill...around 2003/2004.

Meh. Never could really get into this show. And maybe wait until 2010 to put this show up. I've lost count of how many non-retro shows I've found on the site so far...
