A CBS Dramatic Serial which, at the time of it's debut, March 26th 1973, and for most of the 70's, revolved around the lives of the Brooks and Foster Families of Genoa City, Wisconsin. In the late 70's the episodes were extended from 30 minutes to 1 hour, and the series took on a new tone, and gradually phased out the original core families, giving way to the current Genoa City stories of the Abbotts, Newmans, Winters, and for a very brief time in the early 80's, the Williams Families. The "Y&R", as the series is currently refereed to, has been the #1 Daytime Drama since 1989.
