A new threat appears all over the world in the form of the terrorist group known as the Galactor. To combat the forces of Galactor, well-renowned scientist Kouzaburou Nanbu unleashes the Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, a team of five young heroes skilled in the art of ninjutsu and dressed in unique bird-like costumes.

A few follow up series was made a few years later.

A re-edited version of the series was released in the US under the title Battle of the Planets". That version cut down substantially on the violent scenes and added a new underwater base with a cute robot and robot dog.

Another series was made in the 80s that didn't edit out most of the original scenes. The follow up episodes was adapted a few years later. You can now own translated and unedited versions of all the original episodes if you want to.

This is a cool site! I loved this cartoon and totally forgot the name G-Force. I'd love to get some of these episodes

I liked Battle of the planets, but this must be shown on tv again, This incarnation not the editted one.

the last episode of Gatchaman was the highest rated tv episode up to that time. It was that popular
