Creature Features was shown on WGN TV-9 from Sept. 19th, 1970 until Mid 1976. Known for it's main title vignettes of Universal Studios classic horror movies set to the haunting guitars of Henry Mancini's theme from the film "Experiment In Terror," and the dark sinister voice of WGN-TV announcer Marty McNeely reading the poem:

This was the scariest thing on t.v. It would come on with different intos. Bella Lagosi would also be inside a coffin and slowly lift the lid until you saw his eyes! Spooky!

I think this was one of THE COOLEST shows on TV! I LOVED it. I wish it was STILL on, playing those old GREAT movies. Richard

Back in the day, I would stay up late nights on Friday & Saturday to watch this show!!! Man i hate it still doesn't come on anymore. Thank you Retrojunk for bring back the memories.
