Game show in which two teams of a celebrity and civilian give one-word clues to words that relate to the solution of a puzzle. When a team equals or surpasses the target score, they move on to Alphabetics, where one-word clues are given for ten alphabetical passwords. If all 10 words are guessed in 60 seconds, they win the jackpot. Originally hosted by Password star, Allen Ludden until he fell ill in 1980 (he died in 1981). Tom Kennedy took over for the rest of the Password Plus run on NBC.
