 Raised in Tulsa where his father was stationed with the military.
Attended the University of Denver.
Met friend, Joan Van Ark, on an 1978 episode of "Wonder Woman" (1976), before co-starring with her on "Dallas" (1978) and "Knots Landing" (1979).
Began as a replacement performer for actor David Ackroyd in a few episodes of "Dallas" as Gary Ewing, before Knots Started and stayed on Knots for its entire run.
