Bronson Pinchot was born in 1959. He started acting several years after he left Yale. After some off-Broadway work, he made his film debut as one of Joel Goodsen's (Tom Cruise) poker buddies in "Risky Business". He was reluctant to do accents early in his career, but Martin Brest begged him to do one for his new movie. That movie? "Beverly Hills Cop". He played Serge, the Eurotrashy clerk at the art gallery where Jenny Summers (Lisa Eilbacher) works in "Beverly Hills Cop". This would lead to his work on the TV show "Perfect Strangers", where he played Balki, the wacky foreign cousin of the strait-laced Larry Appleton (Mark Linn-Baker). Throughout the 90s, Pinchot had ups (roles in "True Romance" and "Courage Under Fire") and downs (reprising Serge in the critical-and-box-office bomb "Beverly Hills Cop 3", taking a starring role in a sitcom called "The Trouble With Larry" that only lasted for one season).
He primarily does independent film work and TV guest roles now. He's done commercials for Pepsi, Domino's Pizza and Volkswagen, and he also appeared on "The Surreal Life" in 2005, where he revealed that he grew up in an abusive household. He's come a long way.
