 Arthur Q. Bryan was the voice of Elmer Fudd in every Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies cartoon until his unfortunate death November 18, 1959. Mel Blanc took over as the voice of Elmer Fudd shortly after, but said it was uncomfortable and he felt like he was disrespecting his long time friend and co-worker. Thanks to television, the Looney Tunes didn't stay around much longer, so Mel rarely had to imitate Elmer Fudd.
