Three Amigos!

Movie Summary

Released: 1986
This slapstick farce features Dusty Bottoms (Chevy Chase), Lucky Day (Steve Martin), and Ned Nederlander (Martin Short), as three silent movie cowboy stars who get the axe from their Hollywood studio. Just at that opportune moment, a woman named Carmen (Patrice Martinez) asks them to come to her forgotten little town south of the border and do some work for her, for a tidy sum. The three "stooges" agree, thinking they are going to perform their singing cowboy routine, but instead Carmen wants them to get rid of the nasty El Guapo (Alfonso Arau) who is running roughshod over the good citizens of the town. Not the kind of heroes they appear to be in the movies, they have a difficult time helping out the distressed townsfolk. — Eleanor Mannikka

"El Guapo" means: the handsome or good looking. My favorite quote is "Today... he is.........33 years old."

By the way, "El Guapo" is a pretty well known director that was a cameo in The Three Amigos.

Arizona moon keep shining
from the desert sky above
you know pretty soon
that big yellow moon
will light the way back
to the one you love
Blue shadows on the trail
Little cowboy- Close your eeyes and dream

All of the dawgies are in tthe corral
All of your work is done
Close your eyes-And dream little pal

My grandparents made me watch this as a kid. Well, not MADE me, but you know how grandparents can be. "Here, we'll watch this movie. I think you'll like it." "But I wanna watch Ninja Turtles." "Shh, dear. It's starting."

I loved it.
