10 Things I Hate About You

Movie Summary

Released: 1999
Meet the Stratford sisters: pretty and popular Bianca, who has never had a date; and Kat, her older sibling, an ill-tempered harridan whose acerbic wit is matched only by her steadfast determination to alienate any guy who might be remotely interested in her. Unfortunately, strict rules in the Stratford household forbid Bianca from having a boyfriend until her odious sister has one of her own-a situation that seems highly improbable considering Kat is a social disaster. Bianca's desperation for romance turns into a convoluted scheme to match Kat with her male equivalent--a guy whose reputation is so infamous, Kat might rise to the challenge and find him worthy of her concealed charms. Mating mayhem ensues when Patrick Verona--a sullen young man with a mysterious past--is bribed by Bianca's wannabe boyfriend to woo and win Kat, in order to clear the way for Bianca to begin dating.

This movie is based on Shakespeare's classic Taming of the Shrew. The producers even went so far as to keep Bianca and Katharina's names the same in the movie.

When I first saw this movie I was really against it, mainly because I was still just a kid and to me it was just another flavor of the month teen flick, but after re watching it now that I'm a little older, and hopefully a little wiser lol. I must say that it really surprised me. Mainly I just watched it because Dark Knight was coming out and I wanted to brush up on Heath Ledger movies since I hadn't seen many, and his performance his this movie along with all the other actors was very humors and captivating. I'm not saying it's Oscar worthy or anything, but it is a fun watch.

I hate the way talk to me,

I hate it so much. It makes me sick.
It even makes me rhyme.

they just now made a series based off of this for teens.who the hell is going to remember this from 10 years ago? the kids who watched it would have been at least 5 and wouldn't have known what they were watching.
