Released: 1970
The movie that more or less inspired the the hit TV show (even though some folk don't want to admit it). This dark comedy set during the Korean War (though that is never mentioned) told the story of the series off-kilter wacky happenings at the 4077th M*A*S*H unit.This movie follows the antics of Hawkeye Pierce,Trapper John Mcintire,Duke Forrest,Henry Blake,Frank Burns,Lt.Dish,Father Mulcahy,Radar O'Reilly,Painless Pole,and of course Hot Lips Houlihan. Directed by Robert Altman.This movie proves" War is Hell,but there's plenty of time for cocktails,and Orgies".

After watching the TV series, the movie is a real disapointment. It's even more bizarre because Gary Burghoff played the same role (Radar) in the movie and the TV series.

The television series is much better.

I love the TV series, i havent watched the movie yet, but i hope to soon. The series is really funny.

The movie is good but to enjoy it you have to try your best and forget about the show. the thing that i found is the the series is somehow still very funny where the movie was breaking with the traditional way that films were made it still seems dated and makes me want to watch the show.
