Dead Poets Society

Movie Summary

Released: 1989
Painfully shy Todd Anderson has been sent to the school where his popular older brother was valedictorian. His room-mate, Neil, although exceedingly bright and popular, is very much under the thumb of his overbearing father. The two, along with their other friends, meet Professor Keating, their new English teacher, who tells them of the Dead Poets Society, and encourages them to go against the status quo. Each, in their own way, does this, and are changed for life.

It was a good story. Not something you can watch over and over again though.

This was a very good movie. I had to watch it several times in school. It was the first time I had seen Robin Williams in a serious role. I watched this movie in college there was a question on a quiz that asked who was responsible for Neil's death. The answer is simple Neil's father

Best movie ever made! I really get into anything about poetry, literature and philosophy. I loved this movie back then and haven't fell out of love with it. I don't think I will either. "Carpe Diem! Sieze the day!"
