Infamous cop Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) has returned to L.A after kicking the asses of a slew of government tyrants. Unfortunately, during that time, his wife left him, and his partner Det. Nordberg (O.J Simpson) has been shot during a drug sting. An investigation into Nordberg's shooting leads him to L.A business titan Vincent Ludwig (Ricardo Montalban), who has sinister plans for Queen Elizabeth II's visit to the City Of Angels. Along the way, he falls in love with Ludwig's secretary Jane Spencer (Priscilla Presley), but a sleeper-cell-type plan threatens to tear them apart.
I know the plot sounds serious, but this is one of the best comedies of the late 80s. It skewers hard-boiled cop dramas but good.
