In the ancient time of the dinosaurs, a terrible drought has taken its toll, and there is very little food and water left. In the chaos of these bad times, Littlefoot, a young long neck, loses his mother to a vicious sharptooth and is seperated from his grandparents by a terrible earthquake. Now he must find his own way to the Great Valley, a place said to have an endless supply of food and water. But he's not alone, for Littlefoot teams up with other seperated young dinosaurs. Cera the threehorn, Spike the spiketail, Ducky the big mouth, and Petrie the flier. And of course the hungry Sharptooth is still on their trail. Will they make it to the Great Valley alive, or will they lose their way and find themselves cornered by Sharptooth?
