Halloween

Movie Summary

Released: 1978
You put two student film makers together with a very limited budget and you'd think you'd get a bad b movie. Not in the case of Halloween. John Carpenter and Deborah Hill had vision and heart which they spilled into this film.

Halloween is a creepy horror film which exudes atmosphere. Set in 1978, Halloween is a tale of a young high schooler and baby sitter on the side who has no idea why an insanely dedicated killer is out to slaughter she and her friends. The killer is Michael Myers who had spent 15 years in Smiths Grove Saniatarium after killing his older sister with a really large kitchen knife when he was just 6 years old. Then on Halloween night, his long wait had come to an end. It was time. It was time that HE came home....

i saw the new version of "Halloween" by Rob Zombie, it was great! Although, the old ones are ALWAYS the best!

I watche this one after I watched H2O: Holloween 20 years later. This one was scary and was one of the only ones from the Holloween movies that I liked.

Saw this on AMC. Quite a slow pace but the music and when Michael tries to kill Laurie really pay off! Carpenter shows why he's one of my favorite filmmakers.

I remember when I finally got to see this movie. It scared me half to death. The musical score when ever Micheal apears just adds to the the mood. My only beef with the franchise was the 3rd movie which had nothing to do with Micheal or the family. can you say "riding the coattail"? I knew you could. Of corse of all the movies the first and least bloody is the best.
