Star Trek: The Motion Picture

Movie Summary

Released: 1979
Admiral James T. Kirk is called upon to take command of the U.S.S. Enterprise for the first time since the TV series ended. A strange alien craft is heading towards earth, destroying everything in its path. Kirk rounds up the rest of his old crew, and acquires a few new members, and sets off to intercept the alien spacecraft.

I kind of like it to be honest. Not great,but far from the worst film i've ever seen. I think it could have been a lot better with some more work.

I'm a pretty big Trekkie, and it should come to no surprise that I really liked this movie. It could have been better of course, but it's not half as bad as Star Trek, Generations!

And now, with the casting under way for the NEXT Trek movie (the prequel) ...

Still, I didn't really care for this one. TWOK was much, MUCH better.

this was a brilliant film to me. I love ALL the Star Trek films though. and All the TV shows, except Enterprise, never really got into that one but that doesn't mean it's bad., I don't understand why people have to nit pick about what "Crew" and "Show" or "Movies" are better than the others and which ones sucks. I love all the films and most of the tv shows they're all different and bring something unique to the star trek universe.
