A space probe appears over 23rd century earth, emanating strange sounds towards the planet, and apparently waiting for something. As time goes on, the probe starts to cause major storms on earth and threaten its destruction. James T. Kirk and crew are called upon once again to save mankind. They discover the strange sound is actually the call of the humpback whale - which has been hunted to extinction. They have only one choice - to attempt to time travel back into the 20th century, locate a whale, and bring it back to 23rd century earth to reply to the probe.

Now this movie is the god of all the Star Trek films. While the film has both action and drama, it is also filled with humor but its humor never goes too far over the top... Which was the main problem with “Star Trek V: The Final Frontier”

I would not say this was "GOD" of all Trek films VIsraWrats. I would say that it was good compared to Star Trek V or Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Star Trek IV does not even compare to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Such a good movie. I do have to say I did laugh a lot through Trek IV and it was a good film, just not the "GOD" of all films.
