Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Movie Summary

Released: 1966
The Grinch is a green, gloomy Gus, who decides that the Whos in Whoville are enjoying their Christmas too much. He schemes and he plots to ruin their special day, but a young girl named Cindy makes sure he changes his ways.

Boris Karloff narrated and provided the voice of the Grinch in this holiday classic, which was directed by legendary animator Chuck Jones, and featured Thurl Ravenscroft (the voice of Tony the Tiger from the Frosted Flakes commercials) singing "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch." It became an instant classic, spawned two sequels ("Halloween is Grinch Night" and "The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat") and a live-action remake starring Jim Carrey.
