they took a different direction with the 3rd installment, with much criticism about burton's darkness. schumacher then directs batman forever and batman & robin, thus ruining the franchise. warner bros. should have kept burton's dark imagery and kept the films alive. i love Batman Returns - 3/4 stars

This was the best of the 4 movies. Michelle Pfeifer came really close in looking as good as the original catwoman back in the Adam West Batman Days. Julie Newmar was the original Catwoman.

i loved this film and the cartoon that took place after this movie.i wish they would leave bat man alone now and quit making horrible movies like everything after this.

I got to tell you, Batman Returns was nothing like the first film, but it doesn't mean it was a bad movie, it was just too dark. that's all. *sigh* i wish Tim Burton directed Batman Forever & Batman and Robin, instead of Joel Shomaker.
