Pete's Dragon

Movie Summary

Released: 1977
Lively musical comedy in which a magical and sometimes mischievious dragon, Elliot, inadvertently causes chaos and confusion in Passamaquoddy, a Maine fishing village. To help a young orphan, Pete, break away from his evil fosterparents, the Gogans, and find a happy home with Nora and her father Lampie in their lighthouse, Elliot must avoid the clutches of the greedy Dr. Terminus who wants to expliot him.

The roles of "Mrs.Gogan","Dr.Terminus","Hogey"and "Lampie"were

performed by Ms.Shelly Winters,Mr.Jim Dale and Mr.Mickey Rooney.

The roles of"Nora","The Mayor of Passamaquoddy"and The school

teacher were performed by Helen Reddy,Jim Backus and Jane Kean.

The voice of"Elliot The Dragon"was performed by Mr.Charlie

Callas.

I grew up with this movie. My parents said it was the only thing that would put me to sleep. By the age of 7 i would put this video in and sing along to every word.
