Everything is going good for Tommy, he has just graduated from college after attending for seven years. And so he visits his dad who is in charge of a large brake pads corporation called Callahan, (After their last name.) But when his father dies, Tommy must overcome his clumsiness to save the company and keep it out of the hands of his new step mom Beverly (Played by Bo Derek.)
So Tommy goes on the road selling brake pads with Richard (David Spade) who worked for Tommy's dad. On the trip they have to overcome their problems and find a way to somehow save the company they both care so much about.
