The 1978 WGBH Boston Flash of Doom

Well, they had to find some way of giving the kiddies nightmares that would haunt them well into adulthood. :)

I remember this was on Zoom. I was scared of a lot of things when I was little, but I was never scared of this. The thing that scared me for my entire childhood was the Eat n Park ad right before Mr. Rodgers *shudders*

I think the radio equivalient of this station does the show Car Talk... : o?

The shows I associate this bumper with are "Zoom" (the original from the '70s, not the crappy remake) and Masterpiece Theater.

They still use the sound and the WGBH logo.
