Top 10 Best Horror Movies By: nick
Article Score: 7

10. Alice, Sweet Alice (aka Communion)

It is about this girl named Alice who is jealous of her little sister, Karen. During Karen's first communion, Alice is nowhere to be found until someone who we think is Alice in a mask comes around a corner and strangles Karen. She drags her to a piano stool and places her in there with a burning candle in her hands. A nun later discovers Karen and everyone in the church soon finds out that Karen is dead. The rest of the movie is just about uncovering who really killed Karen. It's not really a scary movie it's more of a whodunnit. It does have some freaky moments. I highly recommend this to a more mature audience.

9. Scream

I think this movie is a work of art. It focuses on how frightening it can be to answer the phone. It also talks about the dangers of stalkers and the feeling of being watched in the comfort of your own home.

8. The Burning

Most people that see this might call it rip-off of Friday the 13th, but I think that it is an underrated masterpiece. There is so much stuff I like about this film, but the thing I like most is how hideous the killer looks.

7. Evil Dead

This is one of the grossest movies I have ever seen. It's also pretty creepy because this is something that could probably actually happen. This makes cabins in the middle of nowhere terribly terrifying.

6. The Blair Witch Project

This used to scare the crap out of me because i live in an area with a lot of trees. I always used to think it was real until I found out it wasn't. It still gives me an occasional chill now and then because this was based on a true story. Anything based on a true story or inspired by true events is way scarier than anything else.

5. Night Of The Living Dead

What can I say? This is the best and only good zombie film ever. This was one of the few movies to have an African-American lead at the time. It was probably the first movie to use gore in the way that it did. There is never a dull moment in this movie. There's nothing further left to say.

4. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

I love it and think everyone else does too. The remake was okay, but why should they mess with a good thing? The only thing weird about it is that the remake is really gory, but the original has virtually no blood in it. I think that with all the remakes lately, the reputation for these kinds of movies gets ruined.

3. Madman

I think this has one of the best killers in movie history. The music is horrifying, the killer is hideous, and the victims are stupid and clueless. The perfect elements of a horror movie. This makes Madman another underrated classic. This movie should be known better.

2. Halloween

Again, why mess with a good thing? They should have just left this alone. It's fine where it is. This is the kind of movie forces you to sleep with a night light. The music will scare the stuff out of you and Mike himself will give you nightmares.

1. Friday the 13th

This is the ultimate revenge story. I love Jason, but his mom was pretty badass too. This shows you what lengths a mother would go to for revenge. Those people deserve it. He is the only killer I root for to kill people. The remake was mediocre.

There you have it. Don't forget to comment and tell me what u think.

Scream was the worst of Hollywood drivel. NOT scary in the least and crappy acting to boot. The rest on the list i can at least stand. Scream was made for teenagers and thats about the intellect it had. Not appealing.
