The Day Cartoon Network died By: AtariMan76
Article Score: -8

Cartoon Network was well known in the early 90's for showing all the Looney Toons and Hanna-Barbera

cartoon's,then in the late 90's they were still Cartoon Network when they showed "Dexter's Laboratory", "Johnny Bravo", "Sheep in the Big City","Ed,Edd N' Eddy", and "Cow and Chicken", among other shows.

It was a great channel until one day in 2004 it went downhill, when they moved Toonami to Saturday Night and replaced it weekdays with Miguzi, months later they showed a preview for "Foster's Home for
Imaginary Friends,

It doesn't end, oh no, it gets much worse, they brought us "Hi-Hi Puffy AmiYumi", "Atomic Betty", Juniper Lee, and "My Gym Partner's a Monkey", to make matters worse a few months prior to that they took Boomerang off the air.

Another cartoon that helped make it more sucky is "Class of 3000", what were they thinking, letting a dirty rap guy do his own cartoon, yeah that's a good idea NOT! I mean while they're at it, why not let Eminem do his own daytime cartoon!

In conclusion, maybe Cartoon Network hasn't died completely. Is there hope for this now defunctioning channel? We may never know the answer.

They totally fucked up Cartoon Network! It was a memory of my childhood. Why did they do this to us?

What I really hate about Cartoon Network today is how they show a few live action shows & movies on a network dedicated to animation. They even show Goosebumps now & that is not one bit animated. Also canceling Toonami; That was a great block. I noticed too in 2004 of how they changed their logo & all of the classic Hanna Barbra Cartoons were taken off the air except for Tom & Jerry & Scooby Doo.

I think Cartoon Network sucked before 2004. I just don't get it. I never got the appeal of the Cartoon Cartoons, they are the reason why the network is the way it is today, like it or not. Without them, there would be no My Gym Partner's A Monkey or Ben 10.

Toonami was awesome when they was showing Voltron and Thundercats. When they stopped showing those, I could care less.

i agree CN was the best thing to watch of all time when i was growing up. i always groaned about how theres nothing on at night but few years later CN was made and i got pretty excited of the new cartoons and i loved them for like forever. until 2004 it just became horrible and sad.
