Buffy the Vampire Slayer(1992)

Life gets a little more complicated for Buffy, a stereotypical cheerleader Valley girl, when it is revealed to her that she is the latest in a long line of Slayers, sworn to do battle against the evil forces of darkness. With the help of her mentor Merrick and her nare-do-well boyfriend Pike, she must face overwhelming odds as the Vampire Lord Lothos sends his bloodsucking minions to kill the newest Slayer.
