Jackson Curtis is a science-fiction writer that works as a part-time limousine driver for a Russian billionaire. A friend of his explains the theory of polar shift, which is due to occur, and the resulting cataclysm it will cause. They find out about a project to build arks so that the humans have a place to survive and live out the cataclysm, but they need to find where the map for the project was left as well as survive the ongoing catastrophic events.
