Earth vs. the Spider(1958)

A teenage couple finds a giant spider in cave after convincing the locals that there is a monstrous spider the sheriff then decides to kill the beast with DDT. Convinced the creature is dead they leave the lifeless body in the local high school gym however it turns out the spider is still alive and escapes. The Spider ravages the city with only the locals to stop it.
