The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert(1994)

It's time to pack your wigs, makeup, dresses, and high heels for the ultimate Australian road trip. By day, Anthony "Tick" Belrose sells cosmetics and by night she's drag queen Mitzi. Bored by the humdrum of Sydney, Tick gets a call one night to put on a show in a resort way out in Alice Springs. Joining Tick are the transsexual Bernadette (rumor has it, her real name is Ralph) who is grieving the loss of her husband, Trumpet and fellow drag queen Felicia/Adam who is finally getting a chance to fulfill a lifelong dream: to climb King's Canyon (as a queen) in a full sequin gown, heels, and a tiara. So off they go in their rickety old bus named -- by Felicia -- Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Along the way, amidst the catfights and boredom, it is discovered that the phone call came from Anthony's ex-wife. Then things get even crazier en route with small town prejudice, the bus breaking down, the kindness of strangers,and one final surprise awaiting the fantastic trio. Written and directed by Stephan Elliott and filmed in "Dragarama".
