Scum(1979)

This movie tells the story of life inside a british borstal, showing the brutal and corruption taking place. The movie centers around inmate, Carlin (Ray Winstone), who is transferred from a formal borstal for assaulting a guard, so the guards do what they can to make his life more difficult even putting him a dorm room with the main daddy, Banks, who has heard he was coming.

In one part, an inmate gets raped and the officers do nothing about it, he then commits suicide and Carlin leads a riot, only to be beaten and thrown in solitary.
