Fandango(1985)

5 young men in the early 70s live in the moment by taking a cross-country road trip to have as much fun as they can before the matters of their world change their lives. This movie is notable for an early performance by Kevin Costner as Gardner Barnes, a slick student who can no longer avoid the Vietnam drafy, as well as a performance by Judd Nelson as Phil Hicks, a member of the ROTC. Interestingly, Nelson plays a college student while in the far-more well-known "The Breakfast Club" (which, like "Fandango", was released in 1985), he played a high school student. Nelson was 26 years old in 1985...Very interesting.
