this movie touched each and everyone whos ever watched it because it speaks to each and ever one of us are in some way...we can all find a little of ourselves in someone in that cast i related(not brains) but nerdiness and insecurtity of brian johnson love ,love LLOOOVEE this movie
Shepard of Suburbia Posted 4 years 3 months ago
Comedy at one of its most memorable. Long before we had annoying obnoxious comedians like Adam Sandler and Will Ferell.
ZombieWolf Posted 4 years 3 months ago
I loved the movie. It was really cool and funny.
Psycho Mantis Posted 4 years 5 months ago
I'm glad to say i finally watched it and i really enjoyed it. Bender is my favorite.

I think this is one of the COOLEST Movies ever made!!!
    nwest1140 Posted 4 years 11 months ago
I can imagine having that movie on DVD.
cheetah Posted 4 years 11 months ago
Great movie. This is maybe along with Sixteen Candles the best teen movie ever. I watch it every time it comes on TV. Anthony Micheal Hall should have won an oscar for his incredible ability to play a nerd with charming obnoxious-ness.

I really loved all of teh cast. I truly loved Bender and Brian! They are so opposite of each other that they tell a tale woven from the same cloth only from the flipside of the same realities if you get where I'm going. the part where Brian gets high and says "Yeah, de womeen dey just tan't hold dey smoke man, ya know what I mean?" The essay reads in part "We think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us". Great stuff!

I can't stop watching this movie!! The dialogue is amazing.

I think the whole thing is fiction, but John Bender is hilarious.
oldsoul Posted 6 years 1 month ago
I liked the part at the end where he admits they are all a bit of everything...something I totally agree with.
    cinco312 Posted 6 years 1 month ago

RetroxBunny Posted 6 years 2 months ago
Haha I agree with you, sanctity.
I heard 'BreakFast Club' was rated as #1 teen movie. I loved it the first time I watched it and continue to this day. Watched it 3 times in one day before.

did you know there are little things in this movie flipped around????
When the cars pull up in the beginning and in the end to drop the kids off, look at Johnson's car's license plate- E=MC2 and I do believe there is something onnnn the jock's truck- and also- the patch on his coatis taken away too- but its flipped around and it looks like it was taken from the other arm. lol! funny stuff!

peanuts Posted 6 years 9 months ago
Great movie and who would have thought that Anthony Michael Hall would actually grow up to be a decent looking man and have his own show (Dead zone) now?

One of my all-time fav movies....i still watch this movie all the time and still laugh my ass off..lol
dallan Posted 7 years 1 month ago
ha.. the channel 11 advert of 1st time on TV doesn't say they removed half of the dialogue though. haha

and to nanelarya, what was the gothish girl supposed to be , you ask? ummm an abused basket case? is it not obvious? haha... just teasing, but come on, she says in her scenes that her family totally ignores her, and she obviously just craves for attention or instead thinks about death...

anyhow, IMO, greatest movie of the 80's behind Tootsie, Throw Momma & Planes, Trains, & Automobiles, but for us kids back then - this was the best.
AnimatedBritney Posted 7 years 2 months ago
A movie that says the truth...another great classic. Molly rocks in all her 80's movies.
Miroku Posted 7 years 2 months ago

nanelarya Posted 7 years 3 months ago
i love this movie! i wish detention was really like that. what was the gothish girl supposed to be? i couldnt understand the trailer.
    afterneath34 Posted 7 years 4 months ago
My brother and I used to be able to recite the entire script as we watched it. That's how many times we saw it. This movie could not be remade now, updated. Kids are too jaded now to "get it". It was the perfect time and place for it, and it worked.

Juicyjes Posted 7 years 10 months ago
this movie defines 80s media. i could still remember that corny library dance.
Mad about drumming 87 Posted 7 years 10 months ago
I thought this was just one of those stupid, raunchy 80s flicks. Boy, was I wrong. It had some of that slang in it, but it had a good message too.

The exchanges between John and principal Vernon was hilarious.
    TV1985 Posted 8 years 2 months ago
I was watching this movie yesterday. I have to say that this movie has lots of really good comedy and drama scenes.

I remember watching the 2005 MTV Movie Awards last year and saw four out of six characters from The Breakfest Club, celebrating it's 20th anniversary. That was including Anthony Michael Hall (The Brain), Molly Ringwald (The Princess), Ally Sheedy (The Basket Case), and Paul Gleason (The Principle). It was too bad that Judd Nelson (The Criminal) and Emilio Esteves (The Wrestler) were not there with them.
livinitoldschool Posted 8 years 3 months ago
