I loved McCloud and I waited for it to come on the NBC Mystery Movies with the flashlight in the beginning as the intro. It seemed that no matter how hard McCloud tried he could never please his boss the Chief. I liked the way that Dennis Weaver portrayed the character. McCloud was a likeable guy but he stood his ground when needed. I miss this show.

I can remember this show but I remember Dennis Weaver more from a tv movie of the week called "Duel" I think. He was a salesman traveling on a lonely highway and he ticked off a truck driver and the semi was out to get him after that.

This was a great TV show that aired on the old NBC Sunday Night Mystery Movies which rotated with McMillan & Wife and Columbo. Marshal McCloud was the Western type lawman who could easily tame the concrete canyons of New York City. The series was loosely based on a 1968 theatrical film "Coogan's Bluff".
