The storyline of Supergirl is pretty bland, and the character herself is uninteresting (though admirably played by Helen Slater). Faye Dunaway's Selena, however, and her bumbling cohort Brenda Vicaro are the real stars of the film. The director's cut is wonderful because you get to see Dunaway being even more nasty! A guilty pleasure, though I often find myself scanning through the scenes with Supergirl/Linda to get to Selena.
