I've heard of this show back when it first came on, but I didn't watch it until after seeing the original movie and when the Hub channel started to re-run it (I watched mostly cartoons until I was 13). What can I say about this series as a whole?

For starters, the characters. Wayne is much more absent-minded than he was in the movies, which, while pretty funny, is just too much. And then there's Diane and Amy. Not only do they have different hair, but the show turned Amy from a normal teenage girl to a selfish redhead. Nick barely changed, but Quark is not a small dog anymore (until the 2nd season premiere, but that's another story.) If you're interested, go look at my picture of both versions of the Szalinskis meeting each other.

Then, there's some of the things that happen in the show itself. While the idea of more adventures is quite fun, the continuity on the other hand, is different. It's also got a bunch of rather cheesy stuff. My favorite season would have to be the 1st one because it would sometimes show the shrink ray, which was downplayed in the later seasons until it was practically nonexistent in the show. Not only that, but the 1st season did not have this odd fixation on clowns. Seriously, clown jokes? Clowns aren't THAT funny!

Bottom line, this show wasn't bad. I get a few laughs out of the show, but it's still inferior to the movies. And that's pretty much what I have to say about this show.

I only could recal this after hearing the title. I think all it involved was botching science experiments.
