If I remember correctly wasn't Tom Bosley (Richies dad from Happy Days) the one who played Father Dowling? I haven't seen this series in years.

I remeber this show being a takeoff, or ripoff of murder, she wrote with a male lead instead of angela landsbury. I never watched it much, but I would check it out again if I came across it.
