A classic show with Robert Conrad as Pappy Boyington. I used to wait for this show every Tuesday night. I know this show was not 100% authentic but it was still great.

papy boyington did not hate the show he was an advisor on it...there were alot of untruths in but he was ok with it as was his former pilots in his command because they all understood that he needed the money...

Understood the real Pappy hated the show.
Think it was the first show with John LaRoquette in it also.

pappy was a drunk in real life and no he was not gay the F4ua Corsair was and is still a bad ass plain you took off hot and landed hot not a plain for noobs to learn on

This was a GREAT show. I still think the Corsair was the coolest plane in the Air Force during WW 2.

I used to watch this show with my dad all the time I even have it on DVD.
