I love muppets. And Jim Henson was a genius! He was and still is my hero! The Newer muppets aren't as good as the old ones and strange enough when I was little I adored the muppets but Miss Piggy gave me nightmares 0.0 ...
Yeah, it's kind of like when a band releases a cover because they ran out of their own material. We recorded Sesame Street 20 years and counting, which we subsequently wore out! Thanks to the advent of cable tv, I'm not sure an hour long variety show had much of a chance!
I used to love the Muppets a lot as a kid. They never failed to keep me entertained. Sadly, after Jim Henson died, they began falling downhill. Nowadays, we no longer see the Muppets at all, thanks to that godawful "Muppets Wizard of Oz".
