    I know another good theme for this snow: the Beach Boys' "Wendy", because it's a perfect contrast to the older theme ("Dear John, by the time you read this letter, I'll be gone...";).

            I remember this show. Does anyone know if its on DVD yet? I can still here the theme in my head after all these years.

              I thought Dear John was a very witty, smart sitcom of the late 80's. As 'Family Ties' and 'the Cosby Show' were about to take their last bow, this was actually one of the first sitcoms that took a left turn on marriage and realtionships. Very memorable show for me eventhough I was still a very young man.
