here in NYC, it was on right before Voltron, and I never got to watch it because the TV was for my great-grandmother's game shows until 3. I always caught the ending sequence, however, and until this day, I thought his leg was a vacuum cleaner. SOOoooooo glad I found it, I plan to watch it now!

My first taste of Mazinger was picking up Mazinkaiser Vol.1 for £2 in a second-hand store. Ever since that day I've been hooked on the franchise, and I don't regret a second of it!

I have to admit I did watch this show. I thought it was awful, but that didn't stop me from watching it. I really liked anime (before I even knew what it was), but even I could tell that this was terrible compared to other anime I had seen. Oh well...

Awesome! Special thanks to 80sKidAK for giving me the correct title. I loved this show, much more than Voltron. I too played as the character since a large jungle-gym was sufficient in my imagination to be the body of this massive mech fighter. I still love the idea of shooting dozens of missiles out of a robots elbows!

I need to see the original now that I've read about the edited violence.

This was my favorite show of the 80's!!! They sure don't make cartoons like they used to. I was fortunate enough to have alot of the Tranzor Z toys too.

LOVED this show ! back in the 80s channel 60(later channel 50)here in chicago had a block called the "power hour" they had a voltron/robotech one and a Tranzor Z/ voltron one... Tranzor z rocked..i always got a kick out of the rocket punch..as well as the jet pack glider that attatched on his back...the original japanese series is incredible also i got the dvds last month and im looking for the us version as well..

back then you never thought of dr demon's aid Devlene the half man/half woman is being a transgendered ..but now you know..what the concept was..

i always liked the robot Aprodite A what had a missile shooting function our of her chest...that always cracked me up..and who could forget later in the the series the Bobo Bot..classic!

i still have my shogun warrior Mazinger Z which is sitting on my desk at work next to voltron (lion force of course) ....ah the memories..

    Two words:

    BREAST MISSILES!

Oh god, this show was the bomb! How can you not love a show with a robot that fires missiles from her boobs? I can't believe that ever got past the censors! When are they putting this on DVD?

We Mexicans Got the best of Mazinger Z. Complete Unadulterated show. The translation was also one of the best for Cartoons i've seen or heard in a long time.

It was one of the best shows. And maintained most of what the Japaneese show had that made it great.

One of my favorite shows. I just hpoe when they do bring it out on DVD, it has the full mexican version.

That show was one of the best things I ever saw on TV on my youth days, In Mexico it was practically uncensored, and people die.
